With a population of approximately 19,893,297, Florida experienced a 5.81% increase since their previous census, making Florida the seventh fastest-growing state in the United States. It also contains the highest percentage of people over 65 due to its low living cost and enjoyable temperatures. Florida has become one of the 10 best places to retire and was mentioned in Forbes’ list of Best Places to Retire in 2015. As far as diversity goes, Florida is a melting pot of different races and languages due to its historical background. Predominately an English and Spanish speaking state, there are other languages that have been brought here and cultivated throughout the people of Florida.
